Who We Are

The Thames Amateur Astronomical Society (TAAS) consists of people of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels who share an interest in the science of astronomy. While most members are from the southeastern area of Connecticut, we are fortunate to have members throughout the US.

Public Outreach

TAAS is committed to promoting the love of astronomy through various outreach programs. From public stargazing events to educational partnerships with local schools and museums. We also have access to a dark sky (Bortle 4) site in Salem CT.
